Netland Guiding offers different ski touring products for you, at some of the most beautiful ski destinations in Norway!

You can book a day trip, ski weekend, or a ski touring week, all with various trips and good skiing!
In addition, if you are new to the game, and would like a practical introduction to do skitouring on your own, you can attend our weekend workshop, Intro ski touring.

Intro Ski Touring - Weekend (fri-sun)

Would you like to do more ski touring on your own, but don`t know where to begin?  

Join a social weekend filled with practice and learning in the mountains!

Intro ski touring gives you useful knowledge and practical skills within trip planning, avalanche assessment and safety in the mountains. 

Through good guidance, you and the rest of the group will practice how to plan and manage ski touring trips on a basic level.
We will do real ski trips, where we will have learnful conversations and demonstrations. The participants will also be given different tasks and practices on the way, which they would have to solve together. 

The main focus areas of the weekend, are active participation, useful and practical learning, and to gain good ski touring experiences! 

Topics and focus areas:

Trip planning
You will get to practice how to use avalance and weather forecasts, maps and other tools and methods, to plan safe and good route alternatives, and assess different conditions and factors.

How to use your ski and avalanche equipment
You will learn how to use your avalanche beacon, and other avalanche and ski touring equipment of yours.
We will also do an avalanche exercise, with search and rescue. 

Skiing techniques 
You can get tips and feedback regarding skiing technique

Terrain management
What is avalanche terrain, and how can I avoid it?
How to assess steepness and different terrain formations
Terrain traps and supportive terrain
Routefinding on skis in the mountains

Snow
Alarm signals
Main snow types and qualities
Characteristics of weak layers in the snowpack
Brief assessment of snow stability

Weather
Alarm signals 
Positive and negative weather development according to avalanche risk

The human factor
How can different goals and expectations, roles, health, mental shortcuts, and other human factors, influence decisions and choices during a trip?
We will practice routines to create good communication and group dynamics.

Saturday: Day trip + trip planning in the evening

Destination/area: Sogndal or Tromsø, depending on registrations

Day trip - Ski touring 1 day

 You can join an unique ski touring trip in untouched snow, with great skiing in majestic mounatins!

Imagine yourself skiing in a white mountain kingdom, your lungs are filling with fresh air as your eyes rest on the mountains you'll soon carve your way down.
A ski tour in this majestic landscape — filled with both peaceful moments and thrilling experiences — is something you might remember for the rest of your life!

We plan the trip based on the group's experience level, so you can feel comfortable, and simply enjoy the journey and skiing.
Current snow and weather conditions in the area, are also important factors I assess by, when planning the exact mountain area and route for the trip, in order to find safe and good snow.

Along the way, we will have insightful conversations, and we will be doing observations and assessments of terrain, weather and snow conditions.

The descent — in a smooth flow down the mountainside — is likely to leave big smiles by the end of the day!

Ski weekend (fri-sun) - ski touring 2 days

Welcome to a complete ski weekend – with varied tours and skiing, in magnificent landscapes!

Would you like to spend two full days ski touring in spectacular mountains?
We explore different ski areas at the destination, to find safe and good snow, and to create social and great tours with quality skiing!

Through good routines, gathering of information, and group discussions, you'll also have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in ski touring and avalanche risk assessment, over the course of the weekend.

With two full days available, there will be opportunities for multiple and varied descents — and unforgettable ski experiences!

Ski touring 3-5 days

Plan your ski holiday in Western or Northern Norway, and we'll put together a varied and unique ski touring package for your group!

Whether it's a long weekend or up to 5 days, we'll explore some of the most magnificent ski areas at your destination!

Spending several days in one region, allows us to both get to know each other, as well as the snow conditions, in a good way.
This creates a solid foundation for practising useful routines, and to find good snow throughout the days.

The mountains, the tours, the skiing, and the people and social atmosphere in the group, can together create unforgettable days on skis or splitboard — at your dream destination!
