Northern Norway: Troms

Tromsø and Kvaløya

In the "Paris of the North" you can put your skis on just outside the city!

On the big and mountanous island of Kvaløya for example, a 20 minutes car drive from the airport, you will find many of the inviting peaks in the region.

Lyngen alps and Kåfjord

The iconic Lyngen Alps on the Lyngen Peninsula, stand out with their tall, awe-inspiring mountains, rising straight from the surrounding fjords and sea.

This wild and vast mountain range, with beautiful valleys, large glaciers and sharp peaks, offers spectacular ski tours with long descents!

Kåfjord is the lesser-known neighbor of Lyngen. However, the mountains and ski opportunities are just as impressive here - often a bit more sheltered from coastal weather.

Arnøya, Skjervøy and Nordreisa

Along the coast of Northern Troms, lie the islands of Skjervøy, Arnøya, and Kågen.
These are mountainous islands by the sea, with elegant peaks, small villages and traditional fishing communities.

The region of Nordreisa, has both the coastline and inland terrain, which includes fjords and valleys surrounded by mountains and great ski opportunities.

When the weather is rough at the coast, conditions are often calmer, offering better snow further inland. By staying flexible, you`` ll have a good chance of getting good skiing throughout the region!

From the sound of water gently lapping the shoreline, you can ascend the mountains, with marvelous views over the fjord.
The varied terrain allows you to explore different directions and formations to find untouched, high-quality snow.
In the warm rays of the low sun just above the horizon, the ski descent will be a memory for life!
